On June 19, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., The Lord Fairfax Small Business Development Center (LFSBDC) will host a Veteran Conference for those who have served in the United States Military in Middletown, VA. The event includes numerous sessions that answer questions for veterans wanting to know about starting businesses, seeking employment in area businesses, running franchises, or taking part in available training opportunities. There will also be sessions for businesses wanting to know about the advantages and incentives for hiring veterans. Other event sponsors include the Virginia Employment Commission, Mike Guevremont of Distinctions, L.L.C., Navy Federal Credit Union, Golden Seal Enterprises, and private individuals supporting veterans.
The conference will take place in the Corron Community Development Center on the Middletown Campus of Lord Fairfax Community College. While there is no cost for attendance or lunch for veterans, registration is required. Non-veterans may attend at a cost of $25.00 per person.
